This project provides a unique perspective on the importance of body language in our daily lives. We often rely on body language to communicate our emotions and intentions, even when we are not consciously aware of it. By highlighting the connections between body language and language, you can showcase the ways in which nonverbal communication is an essential aspect of human interaction.

Body language is a form of nonverbal communication that involves using gestures, facial expressions, and postures to convey information and express emotions. It is a fundamental aspect of everyday communication, and it is often said that it is everything but words. 93% of communication is nonverbal, with only 7% of communication relying on words themselves. Body language can convey a wide range of emotions, including happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and surprise. It can also communicate a person’s level of confidence, interest, and honesty. I have been interested in the wide range of body lan- guages in everyday life and decided to study on it in this independence project.

My approach involves using coding to break down the video into frames. From there, I select the frames that best capture the body language and then use them to create a cutout of the body language. When we move our body, it is a continuous process that involves many small changes and adjustments in posture, position, and movement. These movements can be captured by video and broken down into individual frames, which allows us to examine them in more detail. By examining these movements frame by frame, we can gain a deeper understanding of how body language works and how it can convey different emotions and messages.

By exploring the connections between body language and the alphabet, I want to create a unique and visually compelling project that sheds new light on the ways in which we communicate nonverbally. Each alphabetical letter cannot have meaning until we put them into words, just like body language is everything but words.
